Why you should register

If you yearn for the old community tech driven conferences where you mingle with fellow geeks (only these would be Linux networking geeks) then this would be it. There will be no marketing flashy openings. There will just be a pure feed of Linux networking.

Netdev 1.2 will be held back to back with netconf 2016.2 (the name is tentative), the by-invite Linux kernel networking workshop . So gurus of all sorts will be there mingling and giving talks. While there will be heavy Linux kernel influence we expect a lot of user space presence as well.

The registration includes three coffee-snack breaks, three lunches at restaurants and one special evening event.

We can handle cancellations up to August 31th, 2016. After that deadline we are sorry to inform you that we cannot handle any cancellation.

  1. Please check the Japanese MOFA site for a list of countries with visa exemptions.
  2. If you travel on a passport issued by a country NOT on this list, you will require documents issued in Japanese by the Organizing Committee. An English language letter of invitation WILL NOT suffice in most cases.
  3. We recommend you give yourself at least ONE MONTH to complete the visa process.
  4. To begin the process, complete registration and payment of registration fees, reserve accommodation and flights, and complete and return the visa information form in full [xls] [pdf].
The support conditions below MUST be met BEFORE visa assistance can be provided.
